State-of-the-art assistance systems guarantee a maximum level of safety and comfort while at the same time the innovative infotainment system entertains and informs. Driving Assistant Plus offers greater comfort and security during monotonous or complex driving situations. These can include traffic jams, stop-and-go traffic or long journeys through the city, on country roads or motorways, along with navigating junctions and lane changes.
Turns the cockpit into a control centre.
Operating the Infotainment system is now even easier, clearer and more informative. The driver can control it via the touchscreen, the iDrive Controller, voice control or gesture control, according to their preference. The tiles are now displayed as live tiles on the main menu instead of a static menu view.

The full-colour BMW Head-Up Display projects all information relevant to the journey directly into the driver's field of vision, thereby allowing them to fully concentrate on driving. Information such as the current speed, navigation directions, Speed Limit Info including no-overtaking indicator, along with telephone and entertainment lists are displayed.

The Multifunctional instrument display with Black Panel technology and a screen diagonal of 12.3" provides a highly impressive visualisation of the driving experience. Three different modes and their specific displays – each of them have their own colour scheme and graphic style – can be displayed in the instrument cluster: ECO PRO, COMFORT and SPORT.

Get to your appointments relaxed and on time: no problem thanks to the “Door-to-door navigation” function of the BMW Connected app. Upon arrival at your destination, you can use your smartphone or a connected smart watch to be guided from the parked car to the final destination by foot.

BMW Connected will inform you of the calculated departure time via a compatible smartphone or smart watch to ensure you arrive at your next destination on time. The system calculates the suggested departure time based on real-time traffic data.

The modern roof box in black with titanium silver side panels has a capacity of 420 litres and is compatible with all BMW roof rack systems. Due to the fact that it can be opened from both sides and has triple central locking on each side it is convenient to load and lock for theft protection.

The published fuel consumption and CO2 emission figures are established according to legislated technical specifications (UNECE Regulation 101/UN Regulation 83 and SANS 20101 standards), which sets out the procedures that are used to measure the CO2 emissions and fuel consumption. The claimed figures are established using specific tests under standardised, carefully controlled conditions and may differ from consumption achieved under real world conditions with the influences of altitude, road surface, geographic conditions, vehicle options, temperature, humidity, tyres size and driving behaviour amongst others.
The figures for fuel consumption and CO2 emissions depend on the wheel and tyre sizes selected. Consumption data is determined in accordance to the ECE driving cycle.
