Position: Interactive Marketing Manager

BMW South Africa is looking for someone to manage the strategy, planning, development and implementation of BMW’s national marketing communications activities via the following channels:

•    Digital – web, emerging media, email, social media
•    Intranet and Dealernet sites
•    BMW Dealer Internet sites.

Roles and responsibilities:
-    Manage the strategy and maintenance of BMW South Africa’s primary web presence www.bmw.co.za.
-    Manage the development of BMW’s digital marketing communication activities, campaigns and projects between BMW’s various interactive agencies, suppliers and departments, i.e. interpret marketing concepts, prepare briefing documentation, brief agency, analyse creative interpretation, analyse concepts and make recommendations to obtain necessary approval, co-ordinate development to implementation, ongoing campaign analysis and reporting, ongoing feedback to key stakeholders, manage projects through to fulfilment and follow-up / action for Dealers /other departments if and when applicable.
-    Identify interactive marketing opportunities for BMW by constantly analyzing interactive market trends as well as customer and competitor research / information.
-    Manage internet related media planning and buying processes on an ongoing basis.
-    Initiate revised contractual arrangements with suppliers from time to time.
-    Prepare, administer, monitor and control Inter- and Intranet marketing communications budgets, assuming overall responsibility for meeting budgeted targets.

Skills and experience:
-    Interactive communications experience: Search marketing (both natural and paid), mobile marketing, emerging media (continually looking for ways to harness emerging media for benefit of campaigns, insight, tracking/analysis), social media (using SM relevant tools to build brand, community, and opportunities to generate leads).
-    Project management experience combined with working knowledge of the application / campaign development process.
-    Understanding of agency processes and dynamics.
-    Strong knowledge of brands and importance of corporate identity relating to the brand.
-    Ability to prepare and manage budgets on an ongoing basis.
-    Confident speaker, networker.
