BMW TWINPOWER TURBO PETROL ENGINES.

The BMW 430i sets standards in efficiency. While its 185kW accelerate it from 0 to 100km/h in 5.9s (5.8s for automatic transmission), the engine manages on only 6.1l of fuel over 100 kilometres.

The BMW TwinPower straight six-cylinder petrol engine with a capacity of 3.0 litres in the BMW 440i boasts especially impressive performance values. These include 240kW, a maximum torque of 450Nm and acceleration from 0 to 100km/h in just 5.0s. The maximum speed is 250 km/h (limited).

Average fuel consumption remains modest at only 6.6l per 100km

The new generation of BMW TwinPower Turbo diesel engines is a testament to the rigorous application of the BMW EfficientDynamics philosophy. They combine top marks in power generation and performance with low fuel consumption. The diesel engines are notable for their excellent responsiveness and agile power delivery at all engine speeds, as well as for their low fuel consumption. They are renowned for their outstanding efficiency and dynamics, producing very few emissions and friction in order to guarantee maximum driving pleasure. The new diesel engines in the BMW EfficientDynamics range feature lightweight aluminium construction and one, two or three turbochargers with variable turbine geometry. They also come with the very latest CommonRail direct injection, which guarantees optimum combustion to further reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
